Golden Anniversary Gifts
Ideas For Parents and Grandparents
Golden anniversary gifts are special, 50 years of marriage needs to be celebrated in style and this is what most people end up worrying about.
What do you buy the couple that has everything? You could go out and buy the best gold gift you can afford, but what if your parents or grandparents are not really into gold, or what you really want to buy them is beyond your budget?
The best thing to do if there are a few of you buying gifts is to combine your money so that you can buy a gift that they truly want, but don't just stick to gold, use the theme to be creative with your gifts.
A golden sunset photographed at one of their favorite spots and framed would be a very personal gift. Better still pay for them to go and visit.
A vacation or a cruise could be affordable if there are lots of you buying the gift or if that proves to be too expensive you could treat them to a night at their original honeymoon hotel.
If you are planning a 50th anniversary party then look at hiring a photographer as your gift, have all of the photos presented in a photo album as a reminder of their special day. Or if you haven't had a family portrait in a long time then you could use this time and then have the best one framed as your gift.
Not everyone comes from a big family so if it is just you buying the gift then keep your gift personal. If you are artistic or crafty a beautiful homemade gift would be perfect. A scrapbook from the last 50 years, filled with your memories of them both. A beautiful painting or photograph that you have taken framed. A quilt. A gift basket filled with everything they love.
If you are not the crafty sort then take a look at these great golden anniversary gift ideas for inspiration.
